A little experiment

I love Pinterest and I have found so many good things to make and bake and try.  It´s just a very inspirational place for me, I can get lost for hours. That way it is dangerous because time flies and all of a sudden it is 3 am in the morning and I am still surfing on Pinterest lol

I saw this idea (couple times) of growing your tomato plants from a tomato slices. Just take a tomato, slice it and put it in the pot and it will grow. I was so very interested to see if it actually works.

I was of course a couple of months late doing this. I started this project in the end of July and by  now, we have had a couple of cold nights and they are starting to die. But that is OK, I knew I was too late planting them. It was a warm up for next year. Next year I will plant them earlier and I will have a greenhouse by then.

When I sent my experiment pictures to my brother and sister in law, they laughed at me and asked if I was growing tomato slices. They were not familiar with the concept.

To be completely honest, I was a little skeptical myself….but I never told anyone 🙂

    1. I know, it was a surprise for me too that they actually started growing….I kinda let them go for this year already….but I will start growing them inside the house for sure before transferring them to the greenhouse, next year!!! And one slice produces about 10 plants or more….I would only ever need one tomato 🙂
