Anti bloating smoothie

Bloated? We all are at times. There are so many foods we love that are making us bloated. Like almond milk. I used to make my smoothies with almond milk every morning and wondered why I was bloated. Now switched to coconut water.  Also, super foods like kale, broccoli, brussel sprouts, cabbage, cauliflower, carrots, prunes, apricots make us bloated…. and the list goes on and on….all my big favourites because of the fiber and health element. Ramping up your fiber intake all at once can cause a lot of bloating.

I love food and I love eating 🙂

Apparently my biggest mistake has been using a straw. I drink my morning smoothie with a straw, every morning. Every time you sip through a straw, air comes up before the liquid. This will stop now 🙂 even though it was super comfortable.

This Anti-Bloat Smoothie is filled with foods that fight bloating! If you have researched anti-bloating, you know what I’m talking about and that is probably why you are reading this right now.

Anti Belly Bloat Smoothie

1 cup coconut water

1 banana

1/2 – 1 green apple

4-5 slices of cucumber

1/4 lemon peeled or 3 tbsp lemon juice

1 inch piece of fresh ginger, peeled and sliced

couple branches of mint

1 tbsp apple cider vinegar

Place all the ingredients in a blender and blend until super smooth. 2 minutes max.

Let me tell you it is not the best tasting smoothie because of the vinegar but it’s not too bad.

The morning after I drinking this, I had a total colon cleanse moment (sorry for being so descriptive) and I felt so much lighter and there was no bloating. Happy, happy, joy, joy. Since it has only been 2 days now, I don’t know the effect for the long term, but I am going to drink half of this amount every night. Tonight it’ll be the 4th night and let me tell you, so far I´ve been really happy!

*My first anti-bloat smoothie, had to dress it up with the butterfly because it takes some getting used to because of the vinegar taste 🙂
