Week of dieting and leftovers

I have forced to diet. YES, forced. I won’t fit into my bridesmaids dress, and in order to do so I need to drink smoothies and eat lot of greens, and almost ONLY greens 🙂 This is the reason I haven’t posted anything for a week. Dieting makes me angry because I can not experiment with fun foods. When I mean FUN, I mean greasy and delicious 🙂

YES, I know somsmuutie of you would say healthy food can be fun. But I like to use butter and heavy cream in my dinners. The sauces are just much more tastier this way. And I really don’t care for diet cookies where you replace butter or even flour. I tasted one a week ago and this is just for me. Everything that’s bad for you is the most yummy 🙂

Don’t get me wrong, I do eat a lot of green salads, asparagus, broccoli and I like all sorts of fruits, my favourite is a pineapple.

My morning smoothies last week that I had for breakfast contained bananas, either blueberries or raspberries, pineapple and spinach. Also a cup of orange juice with pulp. A big cup of heaven every morning! Also I added chia and flax seeds. Result 500g loss per week (I weigh 114lbs) and the wedding is next Saturday. I hope I fit into my dress by then. Fingers crossed.

The week earlier we just used all the leftovers from our fridge and mixed stuff up. That is a great way to clean your fridge. I used no recipes, just whipped something up. So here are few pictures of our dinners.

macaroni-dishElbow macaroni dish. Contains a leftover sausages, peas, carrots, cheese, breadcrumbs and eggs (6 eggs). Plus the greens.

linguineLinguine pasta. Contains canned tomatoes, broccoli, onions, garlic, cheese.

edd-dishThis is my favourite 🙂 This an oven egg dish 🙂 Asparagus, mushrooms topped with eggs and milk mixture and cheese.

We recently made some amazing pork and chicken shish kebobs using an Estonian vinegar recipe.  We’ll share this with you shortly.  STAY TUNED!!
